Made to order, not held under a lamp
Every pie at Brooklyn Pizza is stretched and topped when you order it. Real mozzarella, sauce we make rather than pour, and a crust that holds up on the drive home to Union, Hillside or Springfield.
The round pies come by the slice or as a whole pie in medium, large and extra large. If you want the thicker, chewier style, the square pies are their own thing: the Sicilian on a thick crispy crust, the Grandma with fresh garlic and mozzarella, and La Nona Rosa, a grandma pie finished in vodka sauce. Those come one size, cut in squares, and they travel better than anything else on the menu.
Past the pizza there is a full kitchen behind it. Jersey wings and boneless wings in eight sauces from mild through atomic, with lemon pepper and sweet teriyaki if heat is not the point. Hot subs built on the classics: meatball, philly cheese steak, chicken parm, eggplant parm, sausage and peppers. Pasta made properly, including a fettuccine alfredo on fresh egg noodles and a homemade beef lasagna. Burgers, wraps, panini, salads that arrive with three garlic knots, and an Italian hot dog with peppers, onions and potatoes on a hoagie roll, which is about as Jersey as lunch gets.
There is a Brazilian section of the menu as well. Calabresa, the smoked sausage, with onions. Catupiry, the soft cream cheese, on the Chicken Catupiry and folded into the five cheese. Hearts of palm and sweet corn on the Tropicalia, and a Portuguese pie built with ham, onions, tomato and egg. The sweet pies are there too: Romeo & Juliet with guava, banana with cinnamon, Nutella topped with strawberry.
We deliver beyond Union too: pizza delivery to Springfield, Kenilworth and Hillside, all inside three miles of the shop.

In the Union Center on Stuyvesant Ave
We are at 1014 Stuyvesant Avenue, in the middle of the Union Center, a few seconds off Route 22. There is a second entrance and parking at the back on Stowe Street, which is the easier way in when Stuyvesant is busy and the part most people do not know about.
The Center is the old commercial spine of the township and it is still the part people mean when they say they are going into Union. The Union Center Business District runs the length of Stuyvesant with its own office at 1000, a few numbers from our door. Route 22 crosses the top of the township, so wherever you are coming from, the last part of the trip is usually the same stretch of Stuyvesant.
Parking is the thing worth knowing. The front is metered street parking like the rest of the Center, and it fills through the middle of the day and on weekend evenings. The Stowe Street side at the back has its own parking and its own door straight into the shop. If you are collecting an order, come in that way and you will be out again in under a minute.
Eat in with us, call ahead and pick up, or have it delivered. Delivery inside Union is $1 with a $15 minimum, and Union Township covers a little over nine square miles, so that rate reaches a lot of addresses. We also deliver to Hillside, Springfield and Kenilworth, all under three miles from the door, at $3 with a $20 minimum. Our $25 minimum only applies past three miles, so it does not come up for any of them. All four towns sit in Union County, which is the smallest county in the state by area and the reason none of this is a long drive.
Catering runs from office lunches to family parties. There is no form for it and no minimum published, because the useful version of that conversation is a phone call where we work out how many people you are feeding and what time it needs to land.

Questions we get on the phone
Where do you deliver, and what does it cost?
Union is $1 delivery with a $15 minimum. Hillside, Springfield and Kenilworth are $3 with a $20 minimum. All three are under three miles from the shop, so the food arrives hot.
Do you have gluten-free pizza?
Yes. A gluten-free crust can be added to any pizza for $6.25.
What is Brazilian-style pizza?
Different toppings and a different tradition. Catupiry cream cheese, calabresa sausage, hearts of palm, sweet corn, egg on the Portuguese, and sweet pies like Romeo & Juliet with guava. Ask us if you have not tried it and we will point you at the right one.
Can I order for a party or an office?
Yes, we cater. Pizzas, pasta trays, wings by the fifty piece bucket, and salads. Call and we will work out quantities with you.
Is there parking?
Yes, at the back on Stowe Street, with a second entrance straight into the shop.
Do you take orders for pickup at a set time?
Yes. Call and tell us when you want it and we will time it so it is coming out as you arrive rather than sitting under a lamp waiting. Use the Stowe Street entrance at the back and you will not need to park on Stuyvesant at all.
How do I get the discount?
Order by phone and mention code BROOKLYN for 10% off. It is our way of thanking people who call us direct.
